For updates on weekend field conditions and closures, phone 604.983.6444 (extension 503) to listen to a prerecorded message. This message is updated Saturdays and Sundays with weekend changes in field conditions.  Alternately, you may visit the North Van RecCommission's Field Conditions page.

If your grass field is closed, you must use your alternate dirt or all-weather field.

Lining Instructions

  1. Use ALL THE LIME in the liner; once a field has been lined, use up any lime contained in the liner by retracing over the established lines
  2. Return field liners COMPLETELY EMPTY; damp powder will clog and therefore damage the machines
  3. Return partial bags of lime to the appropriate lime shed
  4. Dispose of only empty bags in the garbage facilities available at each site
  5. Use a tarp in your car or van
  6. Use a rope to tie down the liner
  7. Two (2) bags of lime will do a full size field

Lime Shed Locations

Kilmer north-east corner of grass field by driveway
Kirkstone just west of skate park
Loutet north end of field #1, near men's washroom
Lynn Valley north-east corner of grass field

Lime shed keys are available for $5 at Delbrook RecCentre. Please remember if you are the first home team of the day, you are responsible for lining the field.

Click on the links below for the appropriate field lining guides:

NOTE: U6, U7, U8, U11 and U12s are to line with cones only; NO WHITING

Strict Ban on Grass Field Practices
Because grass fields are so easily damaged, the District of North Vancouver enforces a strict no-practice rule for all grass fields. This encompasses all types of practice, from simple conditioning drills to full-fledged scrimmages.

Most LVSA teams respect this rule and help to protect our grass fields by staying off. For those tempted to bypass this rule, please note that teams found practicing on a grass field will automatically lose their grass privileges for the year. The District also levies fines of up to $500 to violators.

If you know of anyone practicing on grass fields, please tell them to stop.

Other notices from City Hall of the District of North Vancouver and North Vancouver Recreation Commision that are a must read.
