Registration Information

Registration for the 2010/2011 soccer season for the newly formed NORTH VANCOUVER FOOTBALL CLUB is now OPEN. Registration can be accessed from the website: www.nvfc.ca.

The soccer season runs from September to March, culminating with a two-day tournament at Spring Break. All players must be registered and paid before participating in any training or games.

We encourage all players to register online, as it not only eliminates paper waste, it drastically reduces the work load for our parent volunteers (there is a $10 surcharge on all paper registrations). Payment can be made by either credit card or cheque. Please indicate player's name on cheque.

Players are not registered until payment has cleared and until the club has placed the player on a team. Team placement requests cannot always be accommodated. Returning players receive priority placement until June 1. After June 1, team placement requests will be considered only by the date in which the registration and payment are received.

LVSA fees increased slightly for 2009/10
Registration fees increased from $150 for PeeWee (U6-U10) and $170 for Divisional (U11-U18) to $190 and $200, respectively, for the 2009/10 season. Rationale for the increased fee includes the following:

  • Affiliation (with BC Soccer Association) and referee costs will rise by $15 over the next two years.
  • Development fees for Divisional players ($20) are now included in the registration fees.
  • Development fees for PeeWee players ($15) are now included in the registration fees.
  • Traditionally, PeeWee’s registration fees have been lower because they have engaged in fundraising. This no longer occurs: the jamboree is no longer held, and chocolate sales have been discontinued; registration fees reflect this change.
  • Tryout fees for all age groups have been discontinued (Select Policy has been updated, and players are now evaluated year-round versus one-time tryouts).
  • Evaluation costs in the intermediate age group have increased due to the large numbers of players requiring evaluation.
  • Field fees have increased in PeeWee due to the Super 8 program.

We believe our fees remain very competitive, and that soccer is excellent value for the dollars spent.

Financial Assistance

The Lynn Valley Soccer Association recognizes that there are families in the community for whom the registration fees pose a genuine financial hardship.  We want to ensure that the registration fee alone does not prevent young boys from participating in our program.

We ask that full consideration be given to whether assistance is needed. Overuse of this program puts these options at risk for those who really need it.

The following options are available:

Option A:        Staggered Payment of Full Registration Fee

U06 - U10

$70

   Due at time of registration

Download an application here

Applications must be filled out completely and mailed to A4K, at the address provided.

For those players requesting financial assistance, please register using our Online Registration and follow these steps:

  • Enter in the Payment Notes field: Post-Dated Cheques or Application to A4K
  • Indicate player's name on all cheques, if applicable
  • Include a copy of completed A4K Application, if applicable

STRICT BAN ON GRASS FIELD PRACTICES
Because grass fields are so easily damaged, the District of North Vancouver enforces a strict no-practice rule for all grass fields. This encompasses all types of practice, from simple conditioning drills to full-fledged scrimmages. Most LVSA teams respect this rule and help to protect our grass fields by staying off. For those tempted to bypass this rule, please note that teams found practicing on a grass field will automatically lose their grass privileges for the year. The District also levies fines of up to $500 to violators. If you know of anyone practicing on grass fields, please tell them to stop.
